Poetry Rivals 2010 Slam Final Announced!

I have great pleasure in announcing the 2010 Slam Final venue information and the Top 100 2010 Slam Finalists!

The slam will be held at The City Club, Peterborough on Saturday 2nd April 2011, starting at 6pm until 9:30pm. The slam is organised in two parts, the under 18's will be up first, starting at 3pm until 6pm. The second half is organised for the over 18's, starting at 6:30pm until 9:30pm. Tickets ordered allows entry into both slams.

We are honoured to have Farrago Poetry of London helping is with the judging, along with some of the UK's up and coming poets performing on the day! Our poet in residence, Mark Grist will be performing and judging the over 18's Category.

Last years slam was a great success and our over 18's winner, Andrew Barber published book 'Reflection From In A Broken Mirror' will be on sale and John Paul will be reading out his winning poem 'The Money God' (unfortunately Andrew will not be able to attend the slam this year).

The top 100 have all been contacted to inform them of their success and been given the opportunity to attend the slam and perform their winning poem!

Tickets will be available to purchase after the 18th March, all tickets are offered to the finalists and their family and friends first.

If you did not take part last year and would like to be in with a chance of winning Poetry Rivals 2011 please complete our online entry form or a downloadable entry form and send it to us: Poetry Rivals, Remus House, Coltsfoot Drive, Woodston, Peterborough, PE2 9BF.

Forward Poetry's ethos has always been to act as a bridge to publication rather than a barrier. This, along with our passion for poetry and creative writing, has seen a humble family business evolve into the biggest publisher of new poetry in the world. We understand that poetry is subjective, that everyone writes in a different style and that what one person can love, another can hate! Our collections showcase a variety of themes, writing styles and poets from all walks of life. They are carefully edited and compiled to celebrate and complement the craft that all of our contributors enjoy poetry.
